Listed below are a few rules every member must follow. Breaking any of these rules will lead to consequences, from minor disciplinary scolding to account banning or terminating. If you have any questions, please PM a Staff member.
The Basics
This is a PG-13 site, and users must be at least 14 years of age to join. Warrior Cats as a whole may be a PG book series, but certain elements allowed in SSAWW bump this rating up to PG-13. This site allows death and violence -- though nothing over the top like disembowelment or decapitation -- suicide, and very minor sexual innuendos. However, this site does not allow heavy gore or violence of any kind, major sexual innuendos or actions, or profanity.
One account per person. Do not make multiple accounts to make multiple cats. Not only would it be dishonest, but it would also be very difficult to keep track of them all. Any secondary accounts found will be terminated, and the cats associated with that account will be labeled as deceased; the deceased cats will not be playable in StarClan or the Dark Forest.
Be kind and respectful to your peers. Seriously, if you have nothing nice to say to anyone, don't say anything at all. If you want to tell them they're doing something wrong, do it in a kind and respectful manner. No hating on anyone, and no ganging up on anyone.
No godmodding or powerplaying. For anyone who doesn't know what this means, roleplayers are not allowed to control other people's cats or the environment around them unless it is for a plot. Only control your own cats and let other people decide what their cats do or don't do.
Spamming and double-posting is not allowed. If you want to say something additional to a post you've already made, edit it and add in what you want to say. If you double-post, your second post will be deleted, regardless of its contents.
Do NOT share any personal or private account information of any kind. This is to protect you. You never know what the user on the other side of the screen is like. It's better to be safe than sorry.
Don't join just to join. You must be active and participate with the other roleplayers if you want to join this site.
If you have been suspended, wait until your suspension has finished before returning. Any and all topics or posts made during your suspension will be deleted, and your cats will be labeled as missing or sick, but not deceased. If you do not return two weeks upon the life of your suspension, your cats will be labeled as deceased, but they can still be playable in StarClan or the Dark Forest.
If you have been banned, or your account has been terminated, don't come back. Banning and terminating is used as a last resort if all else fails. However, unlike most sites, you WILL receive a PM alerting that you are on the brink of being banned and that you need to shape up to avoid being blocked from the site. If you are banned, and you try to make another account, you will just be banned again. The cats of banned accounts will be labeled as deceased, and they will not be playable in StarClan or the Dark Forest.
The Cats
Design your cats with realistic eye and coat designs and colors. So no creating any rainbow-colored cats with purple eyes, two tails, and a pair of white wings. Also, certain cat breeds such as sphinxes and Persians cannot be born in the wild. Even starting as a kittypet is a stretch, but we will allow for rare breeds of cats to start off as kittypets and join a Clan if the leader accepts outsiders.
Each user is allowed to create up to four cats. Ideally, users should create one cat for each Clan, but everyone is allowed to have up to two cats in one Clan. And, of course, you are also allowed to create outsider cats.
Your cat must act appropriately to their age. If your cat is a kit, they barely know anything about the world outside the camp or what it means to be a warrior. If your cat is an apprentice, they don't know absolutely everything there is to know about being a warrior. No Mary Sues/Gary Stus here!
Cats may not be any other sex or gender other than male or female. This will just cause a lot of confusion if a female cat wants to be a male, or if a cat jumps between male and female depending on what they feel like being. The way your cat is born, the way your cat stays forever.
You are not limited to just heterosexuality for your cat. The only other two sexualities allowed for your cats are homosexuality and bisexuality.
Users are allowed to have only one Special Rank cat at a time. If one of your cats is a leader, you cannot have another cat who is deputy or medicine cat. Let someone else have the chance to have a Special Rank cat.
Other Rules
No advertising. There will be an Advertisement Board set up soon where anyone can advertise forums of their own, but for the time being advertising is not allowed anywhere on the site.
Don't answer questions directed at Staff unless you are a Staff member yourself. Whether you know the answer definitely or not, it isn't your place to answer such an important question directed to people who have the authority and knowledge to accurately answer questions.
Real-world religion is not allowed. This includes Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Satanism, etc. The only real-world religion allowed is atheism, if your cat does not believe in StarClan. Non-Clan cats, unless they adopt the belief of StarClan, are atheists.
Loopholes are not allowed. If you know you are breaking or bending a rule, that's all there is to it. There's no use trying to weasel your way out of it if you are caught breaking a rule. No excuses, no exceptions.
You will receive up to THREE warnings for breaking any of these rules or trying to find loopholes. This does not mean you WILL receive three warnings, however; if the offense you have committed is severe enough (i.e. bullying, death threats, discrimination, etc.), you will receive only one warning. If you do not shape up, you will be banned, and you will not be allowed to come back. For minor offenses such as breaking these rules, you will be given three warnings, and if you continue to actively break the rules, your account will be suspended. Upon return, if you continue to break these rules, you will receive one warning before you are banned.
