The time of the four seasonal Clans takes place directly after the reign of the four original leaders: Bloomstar, Sunstar, Harveststar, and Froststar, about a year after the creation of the Clans.

Meet the Clans Sandy-field

SunClan is one of the four Clans by the mountains that thrives in greenleaf. SunClan cats have very short pelts, which allows them to cope with harsh heat. They have long, nimble legs and strong muscles underneath, granting them speed and agility, as well as strength for digging tunnels in their sandy territory. They make their dens under the earth’s surface, protecting themselves from the scorching heat up above, and whenever the creek that threads through the four territories dries up, they also have a source of water in the form of a secret underground spring. Their den camp also acts as perfect coverage for dangerous thunderstorms.

Their territory is hilly with soft soil and sand, perfect for digging holes and tunnels. When they aren’t hunting or patrolling their borders, SunClan cats can typically be seen digging holes all over the territory that lead to dead ends. This not only protects their main camp den by hiding it in plain sight, but they can also corner prey in these short tunnels whenever they mistaken them for safe warrens. In leaf-bare, the ground becomes too hard for digging, and as cave-ins to the shallow holes are common throughout the territory, it would become more difficult for SunClan cats to hide the entrance to their den camp. They specialize in hunting all sorts of land prey, such as rodents and rabbits.

In battle, their small sizes grant them immense speed and agility, and their sharp reflexes allows them to land strong, swift blows as well. Their speed and agility serve as their main defense, but unfortunately they aren’t able to run around dodging attacks forever. Despite their great reflexes and evasion, they tire out very easily. If they want to win a battle against a predator or enemy cat, they will need to use all of their strongest attacks first before they run out of energy left to fight.

SunClan has an alliance with HarvestClan. The two Clans will often trade resources to one another during their respective seasons; SunClan offers their allies fresh water from their underground spring in exchange for berries and nuts HarvestClan has collected all year round.

FrostClan is one of the four Clans by the mountains that thrives in leaf-bare. FrostClan cats typically are born with thick, dense light-colored coats to blend in with their environment and protect themselves from the bitter cold. They have large furry paws that help them tread through thick snow and keep their balance on ice, and their pads are gray and rock-hard to prevent them from getting frostbitten. During other seasons, specifically greenleaf, FrostClan cats are known to massively shed their leaf-bare coats, which can lead to predators tracking them down by their scents. Thus, these cats typically hide their fur in caves and crevices barricaded by rocks and stones.

Their territory is a mountainous terrain. They live in a large cave at the foot of the mountain, and they barricade the entrance with snow to hide the entrance well and protect their camp. During other seasons, they use rocks and stones to barricade their camp. The creek that threads through the four Clan territories will freeze solid during leaf-bare, and the cats like to play on the ice. They specialize in hunting mountain rabbits and hares, and they have also been known to take down large birds such as eagles.

Being as large and thick-furred as they are, they are not the fastest cats in combat, but they make up for their lack of speed and agility with brute strength, landing harsh blows on their opponents with their paws. Their thick pelts also act as a defense against claws and teeth, but at the same time they have a low tolerance to pain whenever cats or predators manage to break through their furry defenses to reach skin and flesh.

FrostClan has an alliance with BloomClan. The two Clans will often trade resources to one another during their respective seasons; FrostClan offers their allies prey they have caught in exchange for herbs BloomClan has collected all year round.
